International Folk Dancing
(Note new time!)

International Folk Dancing is taught by Rachelle Ackerman of Brattleboro, Vermont. Rachelle is a former member of Mandala Folk Ensemble and has led the Brattleboro International Folk Dance group since 1997. She has taught groups of all ages including school residencies throughout Vermont and Western Massachusetts. No experience or partner is necessary. All dances will be taught. International folk dancing is primarily done in lines and circles, emphasizing patterns and footwork. It is fun and uplifting! Dances will span cultures from around the globe and be tailored to the experience and preferred energy level of those who attend, and requests are always welcome!

Classes take place at Putney Community Cares on Mondays, 3:30-5 p.m.

(First part of class will include instruction, followed by a 5 minute break and switch to dance requests)
Cost: $50 for the session - $50 per session ($5/per class). This program will have a minimum of 10 classes per session.

We prefer that individuals register for a full session, though drop-in payment is possible at a rate of $8/class. Please contact Coordinator Ruby McAdoo at 802-387-5593 or coordinator@putneycommunitycares.org for more information or to join the group. There is a limit to how many people can be accommodated in each class, so registration is necessary.
